The Gathering to Armageddon by the Three Frog Spirits

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.” Revelation 16:13

First, let us consider the event that happened before these three unclean spirits “came out.” Frogs prefer to live in the marshy stagnant waters on the side of the main flow of a river. The great spiritual river called “Euphrates” (which flowed into Babylon) was dried up when the sixth vial of God’s wrathful judgement was poured out on it. In nature, frogs will naturally leave a river once it is dried up, to look for another “marsh water” home.

Now a spiritual river represents the flow of the hearts love. So we will be considering what happens when a spiritual river, a love towards something, is dried up. And we will be considering what spiritual frogs do, when they’re spiritual river is dried up.

What do the frog spirits of Revelation represent?

In nature, a frog is the result of an incomplete metamorphosis. Or an incomplete change. The frog spirits represent the half-changed minister, who still claims to be a Christian. They are still carnal, or fleshly minded. Spiritually they are an incomplete metamorphosis, because they have not been completely changed in their heart. Consequently they’re not fully submitted to the Holy Ghost.

Ministers like this continue to retain the old sinful fleshly desires. And they teach people to love a religious system that allows people to be partially changed. When a heart’s love-river flows towards spiritual Babylon (representing the half-changed hypocrisy of fallen “Christian” institutions), than that heart will never become fully sanctified to God. But this half-changed spiritual condition is exposed, when the spiritual river flow of the religious system is dried up. And the frog-spirit ministers get exposed at the same time.

Jesus Christ’s full salvation brings about a complete spiritual change in the individual. A complete spiritual metamorphosis.

“Jadi siapa yang ada di dalam Kristus, ia adalah ciptaan baru: yang lama sudah berlalu; lihatlah, segala sesuatu menjadi baru.” ~ 2 Korintus 5:17

As an example in nature, a caterpillar completely changes to become a butterfly. It goes through a complete metamorphosis. Inside the chrysalis, the worm like caterpillar completely liquefies, totally losing anything of its original form. And then it solidifies into a completely different beautiful butterfly that can fly. And it flies away from where it used to eat and live. Because now it has a completely different diet and purpose in life.

The same spiritually is true when full salvation causes a person’s old life to die. They become a new spiritual creature with desires for holy things, and a purpose to only serve Christ.

If someone who has been saved, does not go on to fully consecrate their heart and life to the will of Jesus Christ, they then will retain a carnal motivation inside, which will eventually cause them to give in to the temptations of sin. They have not completely changed, so they are an incomplete spiritual metamorphosis.

A frog is an incomplete metamorphosis. It was a tadpole. But it gradually changed by growing arms and legs, and losing its tail. And it gradually started to breath air instead of water. But it stays and continues to live in the same place. It is still a creature that will naturally be gathered back to the same stagnant marshy dirty waters of the tadpole.

The same is true of spiritual frogs. They will naturally go back to the marshy stagnant waters of being religious. Instead of producing the pure flowing and living waters of Christ’s Holy Spirit.

“He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” ~ John 7:38-39

So frogs represent religious ministerial spirits that seek to gather people who have not been completely changed. The real father of a frog spirit is the devil. And they work through people who have accepted a religious robe of righteousness, but they are still under the control of sin. And because of this, they fight against the full truth of Christ’s holy living.

In speaking to the religious people of his day, Jesus said:

“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” ~ John 8:44

Therefore they become spiritual ministers of Satan. And they seek to find others who have lost their robs of righteousness, so that they can gather them to their purpose.

“Karena mereka adalah roh-roh iblis, yang melakukan mukjizat, yang pergi kepada raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia, untuk mengumpulkan mereka ke pertempuran hari besar Tuhan Yang Mahakuasa itu. Lihatlah, Aku datang seperti pencuri. Berbahagialah orang yang menjaga dan memelihara pakaiannya, jangan sampai ia berjalan telanjang, dan mereka melihat aibnya.” ~ Wahyu 16:14-15

Yes, by the power of Satan, they can work miracles. And by these miracles, they deceive people into following them. (The modern day so called “pentecostal tongues” spirit is a perfect example of how the devil works his miracles to deceive and gather people against the true holiness of Christ.) And they gather people together to resist and fight against Christ and his true people. They especially work hard this way whenever a true anointed ministry starts to turn the hearts of people away from religious deceptions, and to turn them back to only serve Jesus Christ.

These frog spirits seek to find people who do not have a “true and faithful” wedding garment on.

“And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. For many are called, but few are chosen.” ~ Matthew 22:11-14

This spiritual marriage feast represents those who have made their spiritual garments clean, holy, and white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore as a collective body, they are the bride of Christ. And they have not only prepared themselves to be married to Christ, but to also bring forth true spiritual children for Christ.

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” ~ Revelation 19:7-8
“Dan salah satu penatua menjawab, berkata kepadaku, Apakah ini yang berjubah putih? dan dari mana mereka datang? Dan saya berkata kepadanya, Tuan, Anda tahu. Dan dia berkata kepadaku, Inilah mereka yang keluar dari kesusahan besar, dan telah mencuci jubah mereka, dan membuatnya putih di dalam darah Anak Domba.” ~ Wahyu 7:13-14

Even people who hate one another, can still be gathered together by these frog spirits, to fight together against Christ and his people. This is exactly what happened in the beginning of the gospel day, when Jesus first came and established his church. So the Christians prayed for the Holy Spirit to give them power over these frog spirits, because these spirits were gathering to fight against Christ’s church.

“The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ. For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together, For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done. And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word, By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus. And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.” ~ Acts 4:26-31

So again, we read that these frog spirits are still doing their gathering:

“Dan aku melihat tiga roh najis seperti katak keluar dari mulut naga, dan dari mulut binatang, dan dari mulut nabi palsu. Karena mereka adalah roh-roh iblis, yang melakukan mukjizat, yang pergi kepada raja-raja di bumi dan seluruh dunia, untuk mengumpulkan mereka ke pertempuran hari besar Tuhan Yang Mahakuasa itu. Lihatlah, Aku datang seperti pencuri. Berbahagialah orang yang menjaga dan memelihara pakaiannya, jangan sampai ia berjalan telanjang, dan mereka melihat aibnya.” ~ Wahyu 16:13-15

Why do the frog spirits of Revelation come out of the mouth of the beasts?

The three unclean spirits represent the spiritual message that comes out of “the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.” These beasts represent the three main bodies of people in the Earth that are gathered in opposition to Jesus Christ and his true church. And I have spoken about this in detail in earlier posts:

The Dragon represents all paganism – all religions that claim to not be Christian.
The Beast represents the Catholic or universal church of what has identified itself as Christian, yet still lives like a pagan.
Itu false prophet represents the beast “like a lamb, yet speaks like the dragon” of the many fallen Protestant sects that claim to preach Christ, yet also live like a pagan.

If you do not spiritually watch and pray, you too will be overcome, and be gathered together with them. They will see your carnal weaknesses, and pressure you to be gathered with them. Especially if you are not ready to carry your cross of sacrificial love and faithfulness for the Lord. That is why Jesus warned his Apostles:

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” ~ Matthew 26:41
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.” ~ Matthew 16:24-25

Where do these frog spirits of Revelation gather spiritually naked people too?

“And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon.” ~ Revelation 16:16

Thayer explains to us the meaning of the name Armageddon:

“The hill or city of Megiddo” In Rev. 16:16 the scene of the struggle of good and evil is suggested by that battle plain of Esdraelon, which was famous for two great victories, of Barak over the Canaanites, and of Gideon over the Midianites; and for two great disasters, the deaths of Saul and Josiah. Hence in Revelation a place of great slaughter, the scene of a terrible retribution upon the wicked. The RSV translates the name as Har-Magedon, i.e. the hill (as Ar is the city) of Megiddo.”

It was a physical place of past great battles that came against God’s people. It has also been prophesied about, being called by the prophet Joel as “the valley of Jehoshaphat” where God would execute his vengeance upon his enemies.

“I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.” ~ Joel 3:2

The reason for God’s judgement: because the spiritual enemies of God have abused God’s sanctified silver and gold. They have the abused God’s holy people, for their selfish purposes.

“Because ye have taken my silver and my gold, and have carried into your temples my goodly pleasant things: The children also of Judah and the children of Jerusalem have ye sold unto the Grecians, that ye might remove them far from their border. Behold, I will raise them out of the place whither ye have sold them, and will return your recompence upon your own head” ~ Joel 3:5-7

This is one of the main themes of the Revelation message. To warn and to gather God’s true people out of spiritual Babylon (representing hypocrisy). And to destroy this hypocrisy with the vials (judgement message) so that people can spiritually get free.

Consequently, these frog spirits are gathering those without pure spiritual garments, so that they will fight a final battle against the true people of God.

So what kind of spiritual garments do you have on? Have you washed them clean and white in the blood of the Lamb? Have you kept them un-spotted since you were washed? Or are you now gathered by some religious frog spirit to fight against true holiness?
