“Phước cho kẻ đã đọc và nghe những lời của lời tiên tri này, và tuân giữ những điều đã viết trong đó: vì thời gian đã đến gần.” (Khải Huyền 1: 3)

The intention for the book of Revelations is made clear: It is to be read, to be understood, and it includes things that we will be held accountable for – things that must be kept. In addition, there is an urgency clause attached: “for the time is at hand.” Jesus did NOT intend for this book to be ignored, nor excluded from study for guiding the Christian’s life and worship. Again at the end of this book he reemphasizes this point:

“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book….And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.” Rev 22:7 & 10
