Lest anyone should think Jesus Christ uses carnal earthly weapons, let me first make clear how God has ordained a spiritual warfare to be fought. With spiritual weapons: through the love and mercy of God, and the Word of God.
“For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” ~ 2 Corinthians 10:3-6
And so with this clear spiritual understanding, let us read about the one and only: King and Lord over all.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” ~ Revelation 19:11-13
I have spoken at length in a previous post about Jesus’ many crowns, showing his authority over all. In addition, I have previously spoken concerning “his eyes as a flame of fire.” His eyes see and “burn through” all the hidden agendas and hidden sins of mankind.
“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.” ~ Hebrews 4:13
His hidden name or identity cannot be known, unless he personally reveals himself to your heart and soul. Until who he really is, is revealed to you, you have no hope.
“Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?” ~ Proverbs 30:4
So only when he reveals himself, can you know him. That is why the Revelation message belongs to him, because it is “the Revelation of Jesus Christ.”
“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.” ~ Matthew 11:27
And you cannot comprehend the sacrificial love he has for you until the blood of his sacrifice, through faith in his word, has been applied to your heart.
“And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.” ~ Revelation 19:13
You cannot know Jesus by just studying his historical record written by someone else. “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24) You must be willing to open your heart and fully receive him there, to know him. Then you can also become a conqueror in his mighty spiritual army.
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.” ~ Revelation 2:17
And so, after the Revelation of Jesus Christ, we can also see his mighty army marching to victory, through every age of time, and still today.
“And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.” ~ Revelation 19:14
This is a spiritual army of regular people who have repented completely of their sins, and Jesus has transformed their lives. Through knowing the real Jesus Christ, they now live holy, sin free lives. They continue to live this way, even though they face great persecutions.
«و یکی از بزرگان در جواب به من گفت: اینها که جامه های سفید پوشیده اند چیست؟ و آنها از کجا آمده اند؟ و من به او گفتم: آقا، تو می دانی. و او به من گفت: اینها کسانی هستند که از مصیبت بزرگ بیرون آمدند و جامههای خود را شستند و در خون بره سفید کردند. ~ مکاشفه 7:13-14
So next, the weapons of Christ’s spiritual warfare are revealed.
“And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” ~ Revelation 19:15
The sharp sword from his mouth, and the rod of iron he rules with, are the words that he has spoken.
- “And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” ~ Ephesians 6:17
- “But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.” ~ Isaiah 11:4
Finally “the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God” that he treads, is his fierce anger and wrathful judgement upon hypocrisy.
“I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.” ~ Isaiah 63:3-4
The Revelation message has a lot to do with exposing and judging the hypocrisy of both man’s religions and man’s governments. And in these final days, God is especially exposing these hypocrisies everywhere. No one has an excuse for continuing to follow those who deceive, because they are being fully exposed.
Therefore the principle message of the Revelation of Jesus Christ is: that he alone is and deserves the title of both King and Lord. All other kingdoms, both spiritual and secular, have been exposed as fallen.
“And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” ~ Revelation 19:16
