“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” ~ Revelation 17:3

Note the structure of this beast is the same as the red dragon of Revelation 12, and the beast of Revelation 13. All three beasts have seven heads and ten horns, showing us that although they may appear somewhat different, they are still all spiritually the same beast. They just have other outer attributes: color, crowns, feet and mouth, that are different. And they carry different identities, or names.

This final beast of Revelation 17 is red colored like the dragon of Revelation 12, but the red color has turned an even deeper crimson red. It now is like the color of blood. For the fullness of the Beast’s blood guiltiness has come! And note: this final beast has no crowns, or no righteous authority recognized in it at all.

This beast is “full of the names of blasphemy” or full of identities that disrespect God and the throne of his kingdom. Rather than identify with Christ and his cross of true sacrificial love, they create their own identity for their own protection and self purpose. In Revelation 13 the beast had only one name of blasphemy, or one identity. This beast claimed to be the universal Catholic Church. But in the last days this beast of Revelation 17 represents all organizational identities that disrespect God: religious, governmental, non-profit, and business. In these last days the beast is fully ecumenical. As such it includes: all Protestantism, Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, all pagans, the UN, the World Council of Churches, everything, etc.

So this final, all earthly organizational beast is made up of all people: people of all religions, all governments, all non-profits, and all businesses. This beast represents all fleshly mankind. Everyone who has not received the full image of Jesus Christ in their heart and soul. They are marked by the number of the beast.

But this final beast has a rider that it is carrying. This rider is the whorish woman named Babylon. But note where the Apostle John is able to find this beast carrying the whore. John had to be carried away in the spirit, into a spiritual wilderness to find her.

“So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.” ~ Revelation 17:3

We are shown what this “wilderness” in Revelation represents. It stands for a spiritual time where:

The spiritual heavens are shut up of any blessings because of hypocrisy. Spiritual blessings come as rain from heaven when God’s two anointed witnesses are fully honored in the church. The two witnesses we are speaking about are: the Word of God, and the Holy Spirit of God.

“But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months. And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth… …These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.” ~ Revelation 11:2-3 & 6

This period of time is spiritually represented in Revelation as forty and two months, or 1,260 days. It is a wilderness (dry dessert) time because there is no spiritual rain of the word of God and the spirit of God coming from God out of the fallen church condition. Instead God is directly feeding his true people by these two witnesses, in spite of a fact that the church leadership has become corrupt.

And so next in Revelation 12 we see that God has a special way and place for feeding his true people: the woman, the true bride of Christ (again for 1,260 days, or three and a half years spoken of as “a time, and times, and half a time”).

“And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days… …And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.” ~ Revelation 12:6 & 14

Finally, in Revelation 13 we see much more clearly why this time is spiritually a wilderness desert place. Because a church corruption has formed the universal Roman Catholic Church, and this unfaithful harlot church condition is blaspheming God and persecuting his true people. And so it tells of the beast of Revelation 13:

“And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.” ~ Revelation 13:5-7

And so now again I remind you that in the spirit, this wilderness is where John was taken again: to see both the harlot and the beast of Revelation 17.

In the Middle Ages the Beast and the Harlot of the Catholic Church were one in the same. The multiplied identities of pagan gods and their worship had to hide under the one identity of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church became the covering for pagan practices, therefore she transformed pagan gods into the worship of “saints” so that she could maintain the deception of a one church identity and pretend to be monotheistic. Therefore you only saw the Beast of Revelation 13.

But today the Harlot, the Catholic Church, is shown separate and riding with authority over the Beast. But she also has no crown, because she is fully exposed as having no righteous authority at all. And today the beast represents all religions and institutions of mankind. Today the beast is paganistic, worshiping many gods, and ecumenical, representing many religions.

But the true church does not belong to the control of mankind’s beast, nor mankind’s harlot Catholic Church. For Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is within you, and Jesus is the true foundation of the church:

“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” ~ 2 Timothy 2:19

The Harlot Catholic Church still wants to receive honor as she pretends to be the only bride of Christ. But at the same time she wants power and influence with the rest of the world. And although much of the rest of the world hates the Harlot, her hypocrisy is the only protection they have against the pure judgments of the Word of God and the Spirit of God. So they allow her continue to have her place of honor. An example of this special place of honor was clearly reflected at the funeral of Pope John Paul II. The leaders of every country and religion came to his funeral to pay homage and respect to the leader of Babylon.

Do you see the well favored Harlot and the beast that carries her? If you dwell in a dessert spiritual condition, dried up without the holiness of the life of Christ within, then you know this hypocrisy too well! You must flee out of every condition of religious hypocrisy to save your soul!

“Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them ; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing ; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” ~ 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Don’t become a harlot church condition! Don’t play the religious hypocrisy game!
