Laodicéia, eu sei exatamente onde você está!

“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;” (Revelation 3:14)

To the final Church age, Jesus emphasizes his complete true and faithful character. The statement of him being the “Amen” is fixing strong assertiveness to this fact. The first description of Jesus in Revelations is that of being “the faithful witness” (Revelation 1:5) Also twice (in Revelation 1:8 and 1:11) Jesus emphasis himself as the “beginning and the end.” Here in verse 3:14 he emphasis that he is “the beginning of the creation of God.” Jesus is a faithful and true witness because he created all things, including us, and so he understands our makeup perfectly. He knows exactly where we are at spiritually and he has perfect understanding of what we are capable of.

You in spiritual Laodicea need to listen carefully to what he has to say! Because regardless of how you understand and feel about it: he knows exactly where you are at, why you are there, and what it will take to get you where you need to be!

In reading about Laodicea you should consider and take note that it is the only church that Jesus does NOT have anything good to say about how they are doing! Not good folks! Especially when everything “literal” about the description of Laodicea seems to describe our day, an age where many are “rich and increased with goods.” And, after reading and studying the message to the Laodiceans from a spiritual perspective you will also find that it especially describes our day. Again, not good folks! Time to shake ourselves and wake up!

And here’s also the amazing part: unlike the other churches, in Laodicea he makes no mention of dealing with:

  • the false apostles of Ephesus
  • the synagogue of Satan in Smyrna
  • Satan’s seat in Pergamos
  • the prophetess Jezebel in Thyatira
  • the dead in Sardis
  • and the synagogue of Satan again in Philadelphia

Instead his charge against Laodicea is: “You are Lukewarm!” Additionally, you Laodiceans even have the audacity to try and convince me that you “are rich and increased in goods and have need of nothing.” It is no wonder he gives such a stern warning to Laodicea: you are blind and you better open your eyes and change, or else…
