666 is a number of great controversy throughout history and still today. Understanding concerning this mysterious number comes straight from the Bible, and from a spiritual revelation to your very heart and soul!

“Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” (Revelation 13:18)

Sometimes the obvious is right in front of us, but our mind is often clouded by the religious teachings and notions of men and women, or even our own imaginations. The scripture above plainly states that the number of the beast is also the number of a man. You can measure, weigh, or “count” to do the comparison of the two. In other words: you can spiritually measure or sum up the comparison. 666 is a number that represents:

man = beast

Did you get that? If not, let’s let the Bible explain:

“If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.” (1 Corinthians 15:32)

Does a beast have any thought or moral conviction about what happens after it dies? Of course not. What motivates its actions is what it can get out of this life. So is a man or a woman who has a carnal or beast like nature.

When man and woman were originally created in Garden of Eden, they were created in the image of God.

“So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.” (Genesis 1:27)

God is a Spirit, not of a fleshly form. The image he originally created man in was of a spiritual, holy and divine nature, like himself. They had this nature, because of the living Spirit of God that was in them. Remember scripture tells us that God breathed into them the breath of life, and man became a living soul.

Later after man sinned, he spiritually died. The life of God’s Spirit within was gone. So all they had left was a fleshly existence, and a fleshly motivated spirit. They lost that divine nature, and took on a fleshly, carnal nature, because of the absence of God within. This fleshly beast-like image is rooted in the desires and purposes of this world; completely out of touch with the holy and heavenly nature of God. That is why later when one of Adam’s children was born it states he was in the image of Adam, not of God.

“And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.” (Genesis 5:3)

And so has man lived since, like a beast: killing, stealing, fulfilling every lustful desire, lacking a real soul and heart connection to God’s holy nature. But God’s Holy Spirit has been faithful to deal with man concerning his corrupt nature. God even sent his Son, Jesus Christ to save and change man’s nature to reflect God, because of the Holy Spirit of God filling the individual. Through Jesus Christ, God’s plan is to destroy the beast-like nature and make it a thing of the past.

“Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.” (Ephesians 2:2-3)

But most still want their fleshly self-motivated beast nature, so to justify their carnal (fleshly) nature and living, they try to make God out to be like themselves, corrupt and beast-like.

“And changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.” (Romans 1:23)

That is exactly what is going on here in Revelation the 13th chapter. Beast like man has his earthly kingdoms. But true Christians have only one King and are servants in his Kingdom and have forsaken their own “man = beast” kingdom.

They have laid a deadly wound upon the Beast’s kingdom by the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God (see Ephesians 6:17.) Because of this wound that the Beast’s kingdom received by the Word of God, the Beast needed a special deceptive help from the hypocrisy of Catholicism and the false prophet beast (the spirit of false “Christian” ministers) to retain its power to hold and keep people in his image.

“And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.” (Revelation 13:14)

Without Jesus we have no understanding nor ability to reflect the holy divine image and nature of God. So God sent his own Son that through him we can both see and understand that holy image, and be ourselves brought back into that image.

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” (Romans 8:29)

We are brought back to that divine image by the sacrifice of Lamb of God, Jesus Christ. First he has to cleanse us of our committed sins by his blood. And then because of his sacrifice, the blood can be taken through the veil and into the very presence of God himself. Through the complete cleansing of his blood, the carnal self-image (beast fleshly image) nature can be purged by his Spirit. So we obtain the divine, holy nature by receiving the Holy Spirit, the presence of God himself.

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)

So to have the wisdom and understanding to “count the number of the beast” and compare that to man and measure that comparison, we are going to need to have the new spiritual image ourselves. You will need much more than a sharp educated and conceptual mind to do so.

“And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him” (Colossians 3:10)

There is so much more to be said concerning this, which I will have to do in a subsequent post. Ultimately you need to be very concerned that this spiritually measured number of 666 does not describe your nature!
