ابتهج لأن الله قد انتقم منك في بابل وألقى بها.

“Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.” Revelation 18:20

The spirit of Babylon’s hypocrisy has always worked in some way throughout history. That is why the scripture states “and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.” It is the spirit of Satan (Satan means “destroyer”) working against those who truly and faithfully love God. The spirit of Babylon, working through false leaders and preachers, leads souls astray from the truth.

“My people hath been lost sheep: their shepherds have caused them to go astray, they have turned them away on the mountains: they have gone from mountain to hill, they have forgotten their resting place. All that found them have devoured them: and their adversaries said, We offend not, because they have sinned against the Lord, the habitation of justice, even the Lord, the hope of their fathers. Remove out of the midst of Babylon, and go forth out of the land of the Chaldeans, and be as the he goats before the flocks. For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north country: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain. And Chaldea shall be a spoil: all that spoil her shall be satisfied, saith the Lord. Because ye were glad, because ye rejoiced, O ye destroyers of mine heritage, because ye are grown fat as the heifer at grass, and bellow as bulls; Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert. Because of the wrath of the Lord it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: every one that goeth by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues. Put yourselves in array against Babylon round about: all ye that bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: for she hath sinned against the Lord. Shout against her round about: she hath given her hand: her foundations are fallen, her walls are thrown down: for it is the vengeance of the Lord: take vengeance upon her; as she hath done, do unto her. Cut off the sower from Babylon, and him that handleth the sickle in the time of harvest: for fear of the oppressing sword they shall turn every one to his people, and they shall flee every one to his own land. Israel is a scattered sheep; the lions have driven him away: first the king of Assyria hath devoured him; and last this Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath broken his bones. Therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.” ~ Jeremiah 50:6-18

In the Old Testament the then physical city of Babylon was destroyed for what part she had in the persecution and destruction of God’s people. This was set forth as an example of what God would later do to spiritual Babylon. Spiritual Babylon represents the fake and unfaithful spiritual condition of hypocrisy that works through people and so called “Christian” organizations that are spiritually fallen.

Today we see this strong judgement being poured out by God through the exposing of the corruption working through Catholicism and Protestantism. For years a faithful and true ministry has exposed these. But today even the Nations and news media are pouring out their anger on these fallen institutions.

And so we see this final exposing judgement shown here in Revelation, and in the strongest of terms.

“And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all.” Revelation 18:21

This reflects the severe judgement Jesus pronounced upon people who should offend, or turn the heart of anyone away from believing in Christ. And it is especially hypocrites that turn the hearts of people away from Christ!

“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” ~ Matthew 18:6

And so it should not surprise us that this same judgement was pronounced against literal Babylon in the Old Testament for her hand in turning away the hearts of some of God’s people.

“So Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come upon Babylon, even all these words that are written against Babylon. And Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When thou comest to Babylon, and shalt see, and shalt read all these words; Then shalt thou say, O Lord, thou hast spoken against this place, to cut it off, that none shall remain in it, neither man nor beast, but that it shall be desolate for ever. And it shall be, when thou hast made an end of reading this book, that thou shalt bind a stone to it, and cast it into the midst of Euphrates: And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.” ~ Jeremiah 51:60-64

Nothing of any value shall ever be found again in spiritual Babylon. All the organizations and institutions of Catholicism and Protestantism have become corrupted.

“And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;” ~ Revelation 18:22

No longer shall the candlestick light of anyone who belongs to Christ be found anymore in spiritual Babylon. Because God has already warned them “flee out of Babylon!” Therefore you also will not hear the voice of the bride (the church, the bride of Christ) nor the voice of the bridegroom (Jesus Christ) anymore inside Babylon.

“And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.” ~ Revelation 18:23

And the ultimate reason for God’s anger and strong judgement against the hypocrisy of fallen “Christianity”: because hypocrites are responsible for the persecution and murder of many true Christians, including Jesus Christ himself.

“And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth.” ~ Revelation 18:24

This judgement by a true ministry is not a carnal physical one. It simply is the preaching of the truth of the gospel, against hypocrisy and all sin. True Christians actually treat their persecutors with kindness. And this kindness God actually uses to also judge the hypocrites. So it actually is God’s vengeance.

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” ~ Romans 12:19-21
