“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.” ~ Revelation 19:11-12
In these scriptures, the final clear revelation is made of: the one and only true Savior, Almighty God, and universal Lord and King: Jesus Christ!
This is the same mighty spiritual conqueror that went forth in battle when the first seal of Revelation was opened. Except that at that time, in the beginning of the gospel day, he was shown only wearing one crown. He was already the spiritual King of all the saved.
“And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals, and I heard, as it were the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying, Come and see. And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.” ~ Revelation 6:1-2
But there were others yet to be spiritually conquered. This is a spiritual warfare, seeking to win the true love from the hearts of those he saves. Once their hearts were conquered, he would be crowned by many more crowns.
“For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.” ~ 1 Corinthians 15:22-28
In Revelation chapter 19 he is shown as having finished conquering. Therefore in Revelation 19:12 all crowns are on Jesus Christ. These crowns represent spiritual authority and power. Today both the fallen religions of mankind, and the government’s of mankind, have absolutely no spiritual authority anymore. They have all been exposed and shown to be fallen and corrupt.
In the beginning of the gospel day, the dragon of Revelation chapter 12 had crowns on his heads, showing that Paganism was a spiritual king to many. But Paganism was defeated, and had to go underground and hide inside the Roman Catholic beast of Revelation chapter 13. So the beast of Revelation 13 had no crowns on his heads, but rather on his horns, showing that during the middle ages, earthly kings were in power. So the Catholic Church had to exercise spiritual rule and power through influencing those different kings.
So during the gospel day, throughout history, there has been a battle for the souls of mankind, and a battle to reveal the true spiritual King of kings: Jesus Christ. So Paganism, the Catholic Church, and fallen Protestant sects, would fight for their own crowns and even physically kill for them, in battle against God’s true Christians. So in the scripture we are instructed:
“Who shall lay anything to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ~ Romans 8:33-39
The final beast of Revelation chapter 17, the one who is spiritually completely defeated, did not have any crowns at all. This shows that neither beast organization, nor the kings of this world, have any righteous spiritual authority anymore at all. All spiritual authority only rests on Jesus Christ as the only King of kings and Lord of lords. For the true children of God have completely given all power and authority in their lives over to God.
“And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying, Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” ~ Revelation 4:9-11
These crowns, representing the authority of all the true Christians of all times, are being given over to God after the gospel day, explained through the seven churches of Asia, has completed. (The Revelation message actually tells the “gospel day” story seven different times. Each gospel day story always ends showing Jesus Christ and his Kingdom as victorious. The seven churches of Asia is the first one.)
Have you cast your crown before the Lord yet? Has Christ conquered the rebellion and sin in your heart so that he now is your King? Have you completely given all authority for your life and your decisions, over to God’s control?
Note: this diagram below shows where the nineteenth chapter is within the full Revelation message. The judgment messages of chapter 19 are also part of completing the purpose of God to destroy the influence of hypocrisy.
